HTC Flyer for $299 from Oct. 1
When HTC Flyer launched it was one of the expensive side, users have to shell out $500 for this 7 inch tablets.
Now with Amazon announcement for a tablet at $199, all companies are looking to gain upper hand in the market. Best Buy has announced that they will start offering a good $200 rebate on HTC Flyer, which means you can get it at $299.
It’s a good deal considering the specifications of the tablet. It’s still running on Gingerbread but should get honeycomb. It has unlockable bootloader, which means it will get honeycomb as soon as its source code is released (by rooting) or when HTC decide to upgrade it (I do rank unlockable bootloader little high, though it might not be same for others.).
HTC Flyer Specifications
- Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread (will be updated to Honeycomb)
- 1.5 GHz single-core processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 16 GB internal storage
- 7-inch display
- 5 MP rear-facing camera
- 1.3 MP front-facing camera
Considering the specs and a dual core processor, it’s a good price for a tablet.
So will you be heading to Best Buy for getting HTC Flyer or will wait for Amazon to release their tablet at $199?
